Apple pen device IQOS in Nouméa: the guide shortlist
Apple in Nouméa: 12 units tested over 4 weeks, pen device formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
Coil life, liquid cost and the apple habit
The honest read on apple: 12 units through the same routine over 4 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
We run apple the same way in Nouméa: same pen device, same 4 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
If you only read one line: the pen device you buy decides how long apple tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a apple pen device really costs in Nouméa
If you are looking at apple in New Caledonia, the first question is not strength. It is whether the pen device you are quoting actually fits the device on your desk.
How we tested apple in a pen device
- Choose strength against the ceiling in New Caledonia, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- Stock depth: 12 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every apple bottle shipped into New Caledonia.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a pen device arrives sealed but wrong.
Where apple goes wrong
- Chasing a discount on a pen device that then needs an adapter nobody in New Caledonia stocks.
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in New Caledonia accept nicotine freight.
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.

Frequently asked questions
Why does apple taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the pen device units we ran, a coil past 5 days turned the apple blend itself harsh.
What nicotine strength should apple start at?
Start at whatever New Caledonia allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a pen device.
How much does a pen device cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in Nouméa: about XPF2.13 per 10 ml liquid plus XPF67 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
