Apple pen device IQOS in Nouméa: the online shortlist — Iqosfrenchpolynesia
Apple in Nouméa: 7 units tested over 7 weeks, pen device formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
Coil life, liquid cost and the apple habit
Apple in Nouméa reaches the shelf in pen device formats, and the online ones are rarely the ones that stay in stock. Availability, not taste, is what breaks an order.
Apple pen device reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 7 units and 7 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
Below is the run we did for this search: 7 units, pen device, same room temperature, same juice rotation. Where results varied, the variation is printed rather than averaged away.
What a apple pen device really costs in Nouméa
Apple prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Nouméa that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within XPF1.9 per 10 ml.
How we tested apple in a pen device
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in New Caledonia, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every apple bottle shipped into New Caledonia.
- Coil type inside the pen device, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Stock depth: 7 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
Where apple goes wrong
- Mixing apple with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Treating the advertised XPF59 entry kit as the real cost when refills run XPF1.9 per 10 ml.
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
The rules that apply here

Frequently asked questions
How much does a pen device cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in Nouméa: about XPF1.9 per 10 ml liquid plus XPF59 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
Why does apple taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the pen device units we ran, a coil past 7 days turned the apple blend itself harsh.

Yes, tracked dispatch before 14:00, and delivery lands in 6–12 business days. Stock is batch-traced, so the bottle you receive carries a dated code.
