Apple starter kit IQOS in Nouméa: the online shortlist — Iqosfrenchpolynesia
Apple in Nouméa: 20 units tested over 4 weeks, starter kit formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
How to tell a good starter kit from a repack
If you are looking at apple in New Caledonia, the first question is not strength. It is whether the starter kit you are quoting actually fits the device on your desk.
Ordering into Nouméa usually means waiting 6–12 business days. Plan the reorder around that, not around the flavour you like best.
The short version: apple in Nouméa works if the starter kit, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a apple starter kit really costs in Nouméa
Apple prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Nouméa that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within XPF2.38 per 10 ml.
How we tested apple in a starter kit
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in New Caledonia, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 6–12 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in New Caledonia, not a suggestion.
Where apple goes wrong
- Ignoring the batch date on a starter kit and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in New Caledonia accept nicotine freight.
The rules that apply here
Retail sales in New Caledonia sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.
New Caledonia applies French-language labelling at customs clearance. Shipping of nicotine to New Caledonia runs through tracked freight only, which is why the quoted window is stated per order.

Frequently asked questions
What nicotine strength should apple start at?
Start at whatever New Caledonia allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a starter kit.
Why does apple taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the starter kit units we ran, a coil past 6 days turned the apple blend itself harsh.
Is buying in bulk actually cheaper?
Not automatically. On apple the budget price and the premium price can sit within XPF2.38 per 10 ml once 6–12 business days is counted.
