Berry starter kit IQOS in Nouméa: the review shortlist — Iqosfrenchpolynesia
Berry in Nouméa: 9 units tested over 9 weeks, starter kit formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
What the label on Berry is allowed to say
Berry sounds like one product. It is not: a starter kit running varies will taste nothing like the same blend on a different device, which is why we test before we recommend.
There is no single best way to buy IQOS in New Caledonia. There is only the batch that arrived, the coil that came with it, and whether the shop tracks the production run.
The short version: berry in Nouméa works if the starter kit, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a berry starter kit really costs in Nouméa
Berry sounds like one product. It is not: a starter kit running varies will taste nothing like the same blend on a different device, which is why we test before we recommend.
How we tested berry in a starter kit
- Choose strength against the ceiling in New Caledonia, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Pick the starter kit that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- Stock depth: 9 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- Spare parts availability for starter kit in New Caledonia, since tanks and pods go first.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a starter kit arrives sealed but wrong.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every berry bottle shipped into New Caledonia.
Where berry goes wrong
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why berry tastes flat after two days.
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
- Treating the advertised XPF48 entry kit as the real cost when refills run XPF3.47 per 10 ml.

Frequently asked questions
What nicotine strength should berry start at?
Start at whatever New Caledonia allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a starter kit.
Why does berry taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the starter kit units we ran, a coil past 6 days turned the berry blend itself harsh.
How much does a starter kit cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in Nouméa: about XPF3.47 per 10 ml liquid plus XPF48 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
