Blackcurrant RDA IQOS in Nouméa: the review shortlist — Iqosfrenchpolynesia
Blackcurrant in Nouméa: 8 units tested over 2 weeks, RDA formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
Where buyers go wrong with blackcurrant in New Caledonia
Blackcurrant prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Nouméa that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within XPF2.58 per 10 ml.
The honest read on blackcurrant: 8 units through the same routine over 2 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
If you only read one line: the RDA you buy decides how long blackcurrant tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a blackcurrant RDA really costs in Nouméa
We run blackcurrant the same way in Nouméa: same RDA, same 2 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
How we tested blackcurrant in a RDA
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in New Caledonia, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Pick the RDA that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every blackcurrant bottle shipped into New Caledonia.
- Batch code and production date, so a blackcurrant bottle turned in 2 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a RDA arrives sealed but wrong.
Where blackcurrant goes wrong
- Buying the cheapest RDA available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
- Ignoring the batch date on a RDA and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why blackcurrant tastes flat after two days.
The rules that apply here
Retail sales in New Caledonia sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.
Wholesale lines to New Caledonia need import documents the retail shop does not; ask for them in writing before a bulk order.

Frequently asked questions
How long does blackcurrant in a RDA last?
In Nouméa we measured 2 to 8 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
Is blackcurrant legal to sell in New Caledonia?
New Caledonia applies French-language labelling at customs clearance.
What nicotine strength should blackcurrant start at?
Start at whatever New Caledonia allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a RDA.
