Blackcurrant in Nouméa: 12 units tested over 7 weeks, squonk mod formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
Ordering IQOS to Nouméa: the practical version
Blackcurrant squonk mod reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 12 units and 7 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
Blackcurrant prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Nouméa that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within XPF2.45 per 10 ml.
If you only read one line: the squonk mod you buy decides how long blackcurrant tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a blackcurrant squonk mod really costs in Nouméa
A blackcurrant squonk mod from the compared options in New Caledonia costs about XPF2.45 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
How we tested blackcurrant in a squonk mod
- Pick the squonk mod that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in New Caledonia, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- Batch code and production date, so a blackcurrant bottle turned in 7 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a squonk mod arrives sealed but wrong.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every blackcurrant bottle shipped into New Caledonia.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
Where blackcurrant goes wrong
- Treating the advertised XPF35 entry kit as the real cost when refills run XPF2.45 per 10 ml.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why blackcurrant tastes flat after two days.
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in New Caledonia accept nicotine freight.
The rules that apply here
New Caledonia applies French-language labelling at customs clearance. Shipping of nicotine to New Caledonia runs through tracked freight only, which is why the quoted window is stated per order.
Retail sales in New Caledonia sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.

Frequently asked questions
How much does a squonk mod cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in Nouméa: about XPF2.45 per 10 ml liquid plus XPF35 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
Why does blackcurrant taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the squonk mod units we ran, a coil past 7 days turned the blackcurrant blend itself harsh.
How long does blackcurrant in a squonk mod last?
In Nouméa we measured 7 to 12 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
