Candy squonk mod IQOS in Nouméa: the cheap shortlist
Candy in Nouméa: 10 units tested over 9 weeks, squonk mod formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
Choosing a squonk mod for candy
Candy sounds like one product. It is not: a squonk mod running varies will taste nothing like the same blend on a different device, which is why we test before we recommend.
Candy prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Nouméa that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within XPF3.51 per 10 ml.
If you only read one line: the squonk mod you buy decides how long candy tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a candy squonk mod really costs in Nouméa
Candy in Nouméa reaches the shelf in squonk mod formats, and the cheapest ones are rarely the ones that stay in stock. Availability, not taste, is what breaks an order.
How we tested candy in a squonk mod
- Pick the squonk mod that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a squonk mod arrives sealed but wrong.
- Coil type inside the squonk mod, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in New Caledonia, not a suggestion.
Where candy goes wrong
- Treating the advertised XPF30 entry kit as the real cost when refills run XPF3.51 per 10 ml.
- Buying the cheapest squonk mod available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
- Mixing candy with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
The rules that apply here
Packaging for candy in New Caledonia must be child-resistant, and the batch code has to be readable without cutting the shrink wrap.
Retail sales in New Caledonia sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.

Frequently asked questions
How much does a squonk mod cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in Nouméa: about XPF3.51 per 10 ml liquid plus XPF30 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
Do you ship tracked orders to New Caledonia?
Yes, tracked to 6–12 business days, with the same-day cut-off at 14:00. Bulk orders get an import note attached before dispatch.
Why does candy taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the squonk mod units we ran, a coil past 6 days turned the candy blend itself harsh.
