Caramel in Nouméa: 18 units tested over 7 weeks, mesh tank formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
Choosing a mesh tank for caramel
A caramel mesh tank from the compared options in New Caledonia costs about XPF1.84 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
Caramel prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Nouméa that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within XPF1.84 per 10 ml.
The short version: caramel in Nouméa works if the mesh tank, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a caramel mesh tank really costs in Nouméa
Caramel mesh tank reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 18 units and 7 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
How we tested caramel in a mesh tank
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in New Caledonia, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Pick the mesh tank that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 6–12 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Coil type inside the mesh tank, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- Spare parts availability for mesh tank in New Caledonia, since tanks and pods go first.
Where caramel goes wrong
- Buying the cheapest mesh tank available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in New Caledonia accept nicotine freight.
- Ignoring the batch date on a mesh tank and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
The rules that apply here
New Caledonia applies French-language labelling at customs clearance. Shipping of nicotine to New Caledonia runs through tracked freight only, which is why the quoted window is stated per order.
Wholesale lines to New Caledonia need import documents the retail shop does not; ask for them in writing before a bulk order.

Frequently asked questions
Why does caramel taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the mesh tank units we ran, a coil past 5 days turned the caramel blend itself harsh.
Can I order IQOS online in New Caledonia?
Yes, tracked dispatch before 14:00, and delivery lands in 6–12 business days. Stock is batch-traced, so the bottle you receive carries a dated code.
How long does caramel in a mesh tank last?
In Nouméa we measured 7 to 18 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
