Cherry cartomizer IQOS in Nouméa: the online shortlist — Iqosfrenchpolynesia
Cherry in Nouméa: 10 units tested over 5 weeks, cartomizer formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
How to tell a good cartomizer from a repack
We run cherry the same way in Nouméa: same cartomizer, same 5 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
Cherry prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Nouméa that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within XPF3.37 per 10 ml.
The short version: cherry in Nouméa works if the cartomizer, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a cherry cartomizer really costs in Nouméa
If you are looking at cherry in New Caledonia, the first question is not strength. It is whether the cartomizer you are quoting actually fits the device on your desk.
How we tested cherry in a cartomizer
- Pick the cartomizer that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Coil type inside the cartomizer, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 6–12 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in New Caledonia, not a suggestion.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a cartomizer arrives sealed but wrong.
Where cherry goes wrong
- Treating the advertised XPF59 entry kit as the real cost when refills run XPF3.37 per 10 ml.
- Chasing a discount on a cartomizer that then needs an adapter nobody in New Caledonia stocks.
- Mixing cherry with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
The rules that apply here
New Caledonia applies French-language labelling at customs clearance. Shipping of nicotine to New Caledonia runs through tracked freight only, which is why the quoted window is stated per order.
Packaging for cherry in New Caledonia must be child-resistant, and the batch code has to be readable without cutting the shrink wrap.
