Citrus mesh tank IQOS in Nouméa: the compare shortlist — Iqosfrenchpolynesia
Citrus in Nouméa: 10 units tested over 3 weeks, mesh tank formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
Coil life, liquid cost and the citrus habit
There is no single best way to buy IQOS in New Caledonia. There is only the batch that arrived, the coil that came with it, and whether the shop tracks the production run.
Citrus in a mesh tank is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In Nouméa the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
The short version: citrus in Nouméa works if the mesh tank, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a citrus mesh tank really costs in Nouméa
A citrus mesh tank from the compared options in New Caledonia costs about XPF3.34 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
How we tested citrus in a mesh tank
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- Pick the mesh tank that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Spare parts availability for mesh tank in New Caledonia, since tanks and pods go first.
- Coil type inside the mesh tank, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 6–12 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
Where citrus goes wrong
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long citrus in Nouméa survives.
- Chasing a discount on a mesh tank that then needs an adapter nobody in New Caledonia stocks.
- Treating the advertised XPF43 entry kit as the real cost when refills run XPF3.34 per 10 ml.

Frequently asked questions
How long does citrus in a mesh tank last?
In Nouméa we measured 3 to 10 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
Why does citrus taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the mesh tank units we ran, a coil past 7 days turned the citrus blend itself harsh.
Is buying in bulk actually cheaper?
Not automatically. On citrus the budget price and the premium price can sit within XPF3.34 per 10 ml once 6–12 business days is counted.
