Citrus mesh tank IQOS in Nouméa: the flat shortlist
Citrus in Nouméa: 19 units tested over 7 weeks, mesh tank formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
How we tested Citrus mesh tank here
The honest read on citrus: 19 units through the same routine over 7 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
Citrus sounds like one product. It is not: a mesh tank running varies will taste nothing like the same blend on a different device, which is why we test before we recommend.
If you only read one line: the mesh tank you buy decides how long citrus tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a citrus mesh tank really costs in Nouméa
If you are looking at citrus in New Caledonia, the first question is not strength. It is whether the mesh tank you are quoting actually fits the device on your desk.
How we tested citrus in a mesh tank
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in New Caledonia, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Stock depth: 19 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- Batch code and production date, so a citrus bottle turned in 7 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every citrus bottle shipped into New Caledonia.
Where citrus goes wrong
- Treating the advertised XPF36 entry kit as the real cost when refills run XPF3.49 per 10 ml.
- Mixing citrus with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Chasing a discount on a mesh tank that then needs an adapter nobody in New Caledonia stocks.

Frequently asked questions
What nicotine strength should citrus start at?
Start at whatever New Caledonia allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a mesh tank.
How much does a mesh tank cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in Nouméa: about XPF3.49 per 10 ml liquid plus XPF36 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
Why does citrus taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the mesh tank units we ran, a coil past 6 days turned the citrus blend itself harsh.
