Coffee starter kit IQOS in Nouméa: the price shortlist — Iqosfrenchpolynesia
Coffee in Nouméa: 10 units tested over 5 weeks, starter kit formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
How we tested Coffee starter kit here
We run coffee the same way in Nouméa: same starter kit, same 5 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
If you are looking at coffee in New Caledonia, the first question is not strength. It is whether the starter kit you are quoting actually fits the device on your desk.
If you only read one line: the starter kit you buy decides how long coffee tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a coffee starter kit really costs in Nouméa
Coffee prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Nouméa that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within XPF3.48 per 10 ml.
How we tested coffee in a starter kit
- Choose strength against the ceiling in New Caledonia, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Batch code and production date, so a coffee bottle turned in 5 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Stock depth: 10 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- Coil type inside the starter kit, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
Where coffee goes wrong
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
- Chasing a discount on a starter kit that then needs an adapter nobody in New Caledonia stocks.
- Treating the advertised XPF64 entry kit as the real cost when refills run XPF3.48 per 10 ml.
