The short version: cola in Nouméa works if the 100 ml bottle, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a cola 100 ml bottle really costs in Nouméa
A cola 100 ml bottle from the budget options in New Caledonia costs about XPF1.67 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
How we tested cola in a 100 ml bottle
- Pick the 100 ml bottle that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in New Caledonia, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a 100 ml bottle arrives sealed but wrong.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Coil type inside the 100 ml bottle, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Spare parts availability for 100 ml bottle in New Caledonia, since tanks and pods go first.
Where cola goes wrong
- Buying the cheapest 100 ml bottle available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
- Ignoring the batch date on a 100 ml bottle and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long cola in Nouméa survives.
The rules that apply here
Packaging for cola in New Caledonia must be child-resistant, and the batch code has to be readable without cutting the shrink wrap.
Retail sales in New Caledonia sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.

Frequently asked questions
How long does cola in a 100 ml bottle last?
In Nouméa we measured 6 to 11 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
Why does cola taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the 100 ml bottle units we ran, a coil past 6 days turned the cola blend itself harsh.
Is cola legal to sell in New Caledonia?
New Caledonia applies French-language labelling at customs clearance.
