What a cola 100 ml bottle really costs in Nouméa
Cola in a 100 ml bottle is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In Nouméa the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
How we tested cola in a 100 ml bottle
- Choose strength against the ceiling in New Caledonia, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Coil type inside the 100 ml bottle, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every cola bottle shipped into New Caledonia.
- Stock depth: 7 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
Where cola goes wrong
- Treating the advertised XPF62 entry kit as the real cost when refills run XPF2.05 per 10 ml.
- Mixing cola with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Buying the cheapest 100 ml bottle available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.

Frequently asked questions
Why does cola taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the 100 ml bottle units we ran, a coil past 5 days turned the cola blend itself harsh.
Is buying in bulk actually cheaper?
Not automatically. On cola the budget price and the premium price can sit within XPF2.05 per 10 ml once 6–12 business days is counted.
How long does cola in a 100 ml bottle last?
In Nouméa we measured 3 to 7 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
