Stock, batch codes and the dispatch window
Fig in Nouméa reaches the shelf in pen device formats, and the starter ones are rarely the ones that stay in stock. Availability, not taste, is what breaks an order.
Fig prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Nouméa that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within XPF3.35 per 10 ml.
Below is the run we did for this search: 16 units, pen device, same room temperature, same juice rotation. Where results varied, the variation is printed rather than averaged away.
What a fig pen device really costs in Nouméa
A fig pen device from the starter options in New Caledonia costs about XPF3.35 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
How we tested fig in a pen device
- Choose strength against the ceiling in New Caledonia, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Spare parts availability for pen device in New Caledonia, since tanks and pods go first.
- Stock depth: 16 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Coil type inside the pen device, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
Where fig goes wrong
- Ignoring the batch date on a pen device and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Treating the advertised XPF49 entry kit as the real cost when refills run XPF3.35 per 10 ml.
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
