How we tested Grapey starter kit here
If you are looking at grapey in New Caledonia, the first question is not strength. It is whether the starter kit you are quoting actually fits the device on your desk.
Most people searching IQOS in New Caledonia are not after a spec sheet. They want to know what it costs, how long it lasts and which shop will still service it in three months.
The short version: grapey in Nouméa works if the starter kit, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a grapey starter kit really costs in Nouméa
Grapey in a starter kit is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In Nouméa the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
How we tested grapey in a starter kit
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Pick the starter kit that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in New Caledonia, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in New Caledonia, not a suggestion.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 6–12 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Batch code and production date, so a grapey bottle turned in 4 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Coil type inside the starter kit, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
Where grapey goes wrong
- Buying the cheapest starter kit available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
- Treating the advertised XPF43 entry kit as the real cost when refills run XPF1.81 per 10 ml.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why grapey tastes flat after two days.
The rules that apply here

Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the starter kit units we ran, a coil past 5 days turned the grapey blend itself harsh.
How much does a starter kit cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in Nouméa: about XPF1.81 per 10 ml liquid plus XPF43 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
