Graphite mesh tank IQOS in Nouméa: the budget shortlist — Iqosfrenchpolynesia
Graphite in Nouméa: 15 units tested over 7 weeks, mesh tank formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
Coil life, liquid cost and the graphite habit
Graphite sounds like one product. It is not: a mesh tank running varies will taste nothing like the same blend on a different device, which is why we test before we recommend.
Graphite prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Nouméa that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within XPF3.34 per 10 ml.
The short version: graphite in Nouméa works if the mesh tank, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a graphite mesh tank really costs in Nouméa
Graphite mesh tank reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 15 units and 7 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
How we tested graphite in a mesh tank
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Pick the mesh tank that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- Stock depth: 15 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- Batch code and production date, so a graphite bottle turned in 7 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in New Caledonia, not a suggestion.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 6–12 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
Where graphite goes wrong
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why graphite tastes flat after two days.
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in New Caledonia accept nicotine freight.
The rules that apply here

Frequently asked questions
Is graphite legal to sell in New Caledonia?
New Caledonia applies French-language labelling at customs clearance.
What nicotine strength should graphite start at?
Start at whatever New Caledonia allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a mesh tank.
Why does graphite taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the mesh tank units we ran, a coil past 4 days turned the graphite blend itself harsh.
