Graphite pod kit IQOS in Nouméa: the budget shortlist — Iqosfrenchpolynesia
Graphite in Nouméa: 7 units tested over 7 weeks, pod kit formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
Coil life, liquid cost and the graphite habit
Graphite prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Nouméa that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within XPF3.36 per 10 ml.
Ordering into Nouméa usually means waiting 6–12 business days. Plan the reorder around that, not around the flavour you like best.
The short version: graphite in Nouméa works if the pod kit, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a graphite pod kit really costs in Nouméa
There is no single best way to buy IQOS in New Caledonia. There is only the batch that arrived, the coil that came with it, and whether the shop tracks the production run.
How we tested graphite in a pod kit
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in New Caledonia, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- Batch code and production date, so a graphite bottle turned in 7 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in New Caledonia, not a suggestion.
- Coil type inside the pod kit, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Spare parts availability for pod kit in New Caledonia, since tanks and pods go first.
Where graphite goes wrong
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
- Treating the advertised XPF60 entry kit as the real cost when refills run XPF3.36 per 10 ml.
- Ignoring the batch date on a pod kit and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
The rules that apply here
