Guava cartomizer IQOS in Nouméa: the flat shortlist
Guava in Nouméa: 13 units tested over 9 weeks, cartomizer formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
Ordering IQOS to Nouméa: the practical version
Guava in a cartomizer is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In Nouméa the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
The honest read on guava: 13 units through the same routine over 9 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
The short version: guava in Nouméa works if the cartomizer, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a guava cartomizer really costs in Nouméa
If you are looking at guava in New Caledonia, the first question is not strength. It is whether the cartomizer you are quoting actually fits the device on your desk.
How we tested guava in a cartomizer
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Pick the cartomizer that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in New Caledonia, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Spare parts availability for cartomizer in New Caledonia, since tanks and pods go first.
- Coil type inside the cartomizer, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Batch code and production date, so a guava bottle turned in 9 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a cartomizer arrives sealed but wrong.
Where guava goes wrong
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why guava tastes flat after two days.
- Buying the cheapest cartomizer available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
- Mixing guava with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.

Frequently asked questions
Is guava legal to sell in New Caledonia?
New Caledonia applies French-language labelling at customs clearance.
What nicotine strength should guava start at?
Start at whatever New Caledonia allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a cartomizer.
Why does guava taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the cartomizer units we ran, a coil past 5 days turned the guava blend itself harsh.
