Guava pen device IQOS in Nouméa: the review shortlist — Iqosfrenchpolynesia
Guava in Nouméa: 16 units tested over 2 weeks, pen device formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
How to tell a good pen device from a repack
If you are looking at guava in New Caledonia, the first question is not strength. It is whether the pen device you are quoting actually fits the device on your desk.
The honest read on guava: 16 units through the same routine over 2 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
The short version: guava in Nouméa works if the pen device, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a guava pen device really costs in Nouméa
We run guava the same way in Nouméa: same pen device, same 2 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
How we tested guava in a pen device
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in New Caledonia, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Pick the pen device that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a pen device arrives sealed but wrong.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in New Caledonia, not a suggestion.
- Batch code and production date, so a guava bottle turned in 2 weeks ago is not sold as new.
Where guava goes wrong
- Treating the advertised XPF30 entry kit as the real cost when refills run XPF3.35 per 10 ml.
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long guava in Nouméa survives.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why guava tastes flat after two days.
The rules that apply here
Wholesale lines to New Caledonia need import documents the retail shop does not; ask for them in writing before a bulk order.
Retail sales in New Caledonia sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.

| Stock checked | 16 lines | Batch-traced, dated production runs only |
| Nicotine ceiling | varies | Legal retail limit in New Caledonia |
| Coil life | ~7 days | The hidden monthly cost |
| Delivery to New Caledonia | 6–12 business days | Buffer the reorder around this |
| Entry kit | XPF30 | What a first order really pays |
| Refill cost | XPF3.35 / 10 ml | The figure that decides the habit |

Frequently asked questions
How much does a pen device cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in Nouméa: about XPF3.35 per 10 ml liquid plus XPF30 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
Why does guava taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the pen device units we ran, a coil past 7 days turned the guava blend itself harsh.
What nicotine strength should guava start at?
Start at whatever New Caledonia allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a pen device.
