Herbal cartomizer IQOS in Nouméa: the budget shortlist — Iqosfrenchpolynesia
Herbal in Nouméa: 24 units tested over 8 weeks, cartomizer formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
What the label on Herbal is allowed to say
We run herbal the same way in Nouméa: same cartomizer, same 8 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
Most people searching IQOS in New Caledonia are not after a spec sheet. They want to know what it costs, how long it lasts and which shop will still service it in three months.
Below is the run we did for this search: 24 units, cartomizer, same room temperature, same juice rotation. Where results varied, the variation is printed rather than averaged away.
What a herbal cartomizer really costs in Nouméa
Herbal prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Nouméa that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within XPF1.99 per 10 ml.
How we tested herbal in a cartomizer
- Pick the cartomizer that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in New Caledonia, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Coil type inside the cartomizer, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a cartomizer arrives sealed but wrong.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
Where herbal goes wrong
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long herbal in Nouméa survives.
- Buying the cheapest cartomizer available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why herbal tastes flat after two days.
