Herbal pen device IQOS in Nouméa: the compare shortlist — Iqosfrenchpolynesia
Herbal in Nouméa: 12 units tested over 9 weeks, pen device formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
Coil life, liquid cost and the herbal habit
Herbal in a pen device is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In Nouméa the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
Herbal in Nouméa reaches the shelf in pen device formats, and the compared ones are rarely the ones that stay in stock. Availability, not taste, is what breaks an order.
The short version: herbal in Nouméa works if the pen device, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a herbal pen device really costs in Nouméa
There is no single best way to buy IQOS in New Caledonia. There is only the batch that arrived, the coil that came with it, and whether the shop tracks the production run.
How we tested herbal in a pen device
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- Pick the pen device that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a pen device arrives sealed but wrong.
- Batch code and production date, so a herbal bottle turned in 9 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in New Caledonia, not a suggestion.
Where herbal goes wrong
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in New Caledonia accept nicotine freight.
- Ignoring the batch date on a pen device and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
The rules that apply here
Packaging for herbal in New Caledonia must be child-resistant, and the batch code has to be readable without cutting the shrink wrap.
Retail sales in New Caledonia sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.

Frequently asked questions
What nicotine strength should herbal start at?
Start at whatever New Caledonia allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a pen device.
How long does herbal in a pen device last?
In Nouméa we measured 9 to 12 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
How much does a pen device cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in Nouméa: about XPF3.19 per 10 ml liquid plus XPF42 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
