Herbal squonk mod IQOS in Nouméa: the review shortlist — Iqosfrenchpolynesia
Herbal in Nouméa: 19 units tested over 7 weeks, squonk mod formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
How we tested Herbal squonk mod here
A herbal squonk mod from the reviewed options in New Caledonia costs about XPF1.74 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
Herbal in a squonk mod is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In Nouméa the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
The short version: herbal in Nouméa works if the squonk mod, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a herbal squonk mod really costs in Nouméa
We run herbal the same way in Nouméa: same squonk mod, same 7 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
How we tested herbal in a squonk mod
- Choose strength against the ceiling in New Caledonia, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in New Caledonia, not a suggestion.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Batch code and production date, so a herbal bottle turned in 7 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Spare parts availability for squonk mod in New Caledonia, since tanks and pods go first.
Where herbal goes wrong
- Treating the advertised XPF43 entry kit as the real cost when refills run XPF1.74 per 10 ml.
- Ignoring the batch date on a squonk mod and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.

Frequently asked questions
How long does herbal in a squonk mod last?
In Nouméa we measured 7 to 19 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
What nicotine strength should herbal start at?
Start at whatever New Caledonia allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a squonk mod.
Is buying in bulk actually cheaper?
Not automatically. On herbal the budget price and the premium price can sit within XPF1.74 per 10 ml once 6–12 business days is counted.
