Honey mesh tank IQOS in Nouméa: the review shortlist
Honey in Nouméa: 13 units tested over 5 weeks, mesh tank formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
Coil life, liquid cost and the honey habit
Honey prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Nouméa that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within XPF1.67 per 10 ml.
If you are looking at honey in New Caledonia, the first question is not strength. It is whether the mesh tank you are quoting actually fits the device on your desk.
The short version: honey in Nouméa works if the mesh tank, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a honey mesh tank really costs in Nouméa
Most people searching IQOS in New Caledonia are not after a spec sheet. They want to know what it costs, how long it lasts and which shop will still service it in three months.
How we tested honey in a mesh tank
- Pick the mesh tank that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in New Caledonia, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Coil type inside the mesh tank, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 6–12 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
Where honey goes wrong
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long honey in Nouméa survives.
- Mixing honey with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Buying the cheapest mesh tank available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
The rules that apply here
New Caledonia applies French-language labelling at customs clearance. Shipping of nicotine to New Caledonia runs through tracked freight only, which is why the quoted window is stated per order.
Retail sales in New Caledonia sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.

Frequently asked questions
What nicotine strength should honey start at?
Start at whatever New Caledonia allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a mesh tank.
Why does honey taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the mesh tank units we ran, a coil past 4 days turned the honey blend itself harsh.
Do you ship tracked orders to New Caledonia?
Yes, tracked to 6–12 business days, with the same-day cut-off at 14:00. Bulk orders get an import note attached before dispatch.
