Iced starter kit IQOS in Nouméa: the cheap shortlist
Iced in Nouméa: 10 units tested over 3 weeks, starter kit formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
What iced costs in Nouméa
Iced prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Nouméa that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within XPF3.58 per 10 ml.
We run iced the same way in Nouméa: same starter kit, same 3 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
The short version: iced in Nouméa works if the starter kit, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a iced starter kit really costs in Nouméa
Ordering into Nouméa usually means waiting 6–12 business days. Plan the reorder around that, not around the flavour you like best.
How we tested iced in a starter kit
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in New Caledonia, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every iced bottle shipped into New Caledonia.
- Batch code and production date, so a iced bottle turned in 3 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 6–12 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
Where iced goes wrong
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in New Caledonia accept nicotine freight.
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long iced in Nouméa survives.
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
The rules that apply here
Packaging for iced in New Caledonia must be child-resistant, and the batch code has to be readable without cutting the shrink wrap.
Retail sales in New Caledonia sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.

Frequently asked questions
What nicotine strength should iced start at?
Start at whatever New Caledonia allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a starter kit.
How much does a starter kit cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in Nouméa: about XPF3.58 per 10 ml liquid plus XPF64 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
Why does iced taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the starter kit units we ran, a coil past 6 days turned the iced blend itself harsh.
