Licorice cartomizer IQOS in Nouméa: the online shortlist — Iqosfrenchpolynesia
Licorice in Nouméa: 9 units tested over 5 weeks, cartomizer formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
What licorice costs in Nouméa
If you are looking at licorice in New Caledonia, the first question is not strength. It is whether the cartomizer you are quoting actually fits the device on your desk.
Licorice in a cartomizer is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In Nouméa the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
The short version: licorice in Nouméa works if the cartomizer, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a licorice cartomizer really costs in Nouméa
Ordering into Nouméa usually means waiting 6–12 business days. Plan the reorder around that, not around the flavour you like best.
How we tested licorice in a cartomizer
- Pick the cartomizer that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in New Caledonia, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in New Caledonia, not a suggestion.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every licorice bottle shipped into New Caledonia.
- Spare parts availability for cartomizer in New Caledonia, since tanks and pods go first.
Where licorice goes wrong
- Treating the advertised XPF60 entry kit as the real cost when refills run XPF2.03 per 10 ml.
- Chasing a discount on a cartomizer that then needs an adapter nobody in New Caledonia stocks.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why licorice tastes flat after two days.

Frequently asked questions
What nicotine strength should licorice start at?
Start at whatever New Caledonia allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a cartomizer.
Why does licorice taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the cartomizer units we ran, a coil past 4 days turned the licorice blend itself harsh.
How much does a cartomizer cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in Nouméa: about XPF2.03 per 10 ml liquid plus XPF60 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
