Licorice in Nouméa: 9 units tested over 3 weeks, mesh tank formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
Where buyers go wrong with licorice in New Caledonia
Most people searching IQOS in New Caledonia are not after a spec sheet. They want to know what it costs, how long it lasts and which shop will still service it in three months.
If you are looking at licorice in New Caledonia, the first question is not strength. It is whether the mesh tank you are quoting actually fits the device on your desk.
The short version: licorice in Nouméa works if the mesh tank, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a licorice mesh tank really costs in Nouméa
The honest read on licorice: 9 units through the same routine over 3 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
How we tested licorice in a mesh tank
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in New Caledonia, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Batch code and production date, so a licorice bottle turned in 3 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Coil type inside the mesh tank, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every licorice bottle shipped into New Caledonia.
Where licorice goes wrong
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
- Buying the cheapest mesh tank available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
- Mixing licorice with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
The rules that apply here
New Caledonia applies French-language labelling at customs clearance. Shipping of nicotine to New Caledonia runs through tracked freight only, which is why the quoted window is stated per order.
Retail sales in New Caledonia sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.

Frequently asked questions
How much does a mesh tank cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in Nouméa: about XPF1.78 per 10 ml liquid plus XPF35 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
Is buying in bulk actually cheaper?
Not automatically. On licorice the budget price and the premium price can sit within XPF1.78 per 10 ml once 6–12 business days is counted.
Why does licorice taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the mesh tank units we ran, a coil past 7 days turned the licorice blend itself harsh.
