Licorice RDA IQOS in Nouméa: the budget shortlist
Licorice in Nouméa: 7 units tested over 8 weeks, RDA formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
How we tested Licorice RDA here
A licorice RDA from the budget options in New Caledonia costs about XPF2.77 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
We run licorice the same way in Nouméa: same RDA, same 8 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
Below is the run we did for this search: 7 units, RDA, same room temperature, same juice rotation. Where results varied, the variation is printed rather than averaged away.
What a licorice RDA really costs in Nouméa
Most people searching IQOS in New Caledonia are not after a spec sheet. They want to know what it costs, how long it lasts and which shop will still service it in three months.
How we tested licorice in a RDA
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in New Caledonia, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- Batch code and production date, so a licorice bottle turned in 8 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 6–12 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a RDA arrives sealed but wrong.
- Stock depth: 7 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
Where licorice goes wrong
- Ignoring the batch date on a RDA and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Buying the cheapest RDA available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
- Chasing a discount on a RDA that then needs an adapter nobody in New Caledonia stocks.
The rules that apply here

Frequently asked questions
Why does licorice taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the RDA units we ran, a coil past 4 days turned the licorice blend itself harsh.
What nicotine strength should licorice start at?
Start at whatever New Caledonia allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a RDA.
Is buying in bulk actually cheaper?
Not automatically. On licorice the budget price and the premium price can sit within XPF2.77 per 10 ml once 6–12 business days is counted.
