Lime pen device IQOS in Nouméa: the price shortlist
Lime in Nouméa: 20 units tested over 9 weeks, pen device formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
What the label on Lime is allowed to say
The honest read on lime: 20 units through the same routine over 9 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
Lime prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Nouméa that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within XPF3.56 per 10 ml.
The short version: lime in Nouméa works if the pen device, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a lime pen device really costs in Nouméa
Lime pen device reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 20 units and 9 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
How we tested lime in a pen device
- Pick the pen device that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Spare parts availability for pen device in New Caledonia, since tanks and pods go first.
- Coil type inside the pen device, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Batch code and production date, so a lime bottle turned in 9 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Stock depth: 20 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
Where lime goes wrong
- Mixing lime with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
- Ignoring the batch date on a pen device and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
