Melon cartomizer IQOS in Nouméa: the guide shortlist
Melon in Nouméa: 21 units tested over 3 weeks, cartomizer formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
Where buyers go wrong with melon in New Caledonia
Melon in Nouméa reaches the shelf in cartomizer formats, and the starter ones are rarely the ones that stay in stock. Availability, not taste, is what breaks an order.
We run melon the same way in Nouméa: same cartomizer, same 3 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
If you only read one line: the cartomizer you buy decides how long melon tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a melon cartomizer really costs in Nouméa
Melon in a cartomizer is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In Nouméa the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
How we tested melon in a cartomizer
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in New Caledonia, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 6–12 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in New Caledonia, not a suggestion.
- Coil type inside the cartomizer, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Batch code and production date, so a melon bottle turned in 3 weeks ago is not sold as new.
Where melon goes wrong
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in New Caledonia accept nicotine freight.
- Ignoring the batch date on a cartomizer and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Chasing a discount on a cartomizer that then needs an adapter nobody in New Caledonia stocks.
The rules that apply here
Packaging for melon in New Caledonia must be child-resistant, and the batch code has to be readable without cutting the shrink wrap.
Wholesale lines to New Caledonia need import documents the retail shop does not; ask for them in writing before a bulk order.

Frequently asked questions
What nicotine strength should melon start at?
Start at whatever New Caledonia allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a cartomizer.
How long does melon in a cartomizer last?
In Nouméa we measured 3 to 21 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
Is buying in bulk actually cheaper?
Not automatically. On melon the budget price and the premium price can sit within XPF1.88 per 10 ml once 6–12 business days is counted.
