Melon pen device IQOS in Nouméa: the wholesale shortlist — Iqosfrenchpolynesia
Melon in Nouméa: 22 units tested over 4 weeks, pen device formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
How we tested Melon pen device here
We run melon the same way in Nouméa: same pen device, same 4 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
Melon sounds like one product. It is not: a pen device running varies will taste nothing like the same blend on a different device, which is why we test before we recommend.
The short version: melon in Nouméa works if the pen device, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a melon pen device really costs in Nouméa
Melon prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Nouméa that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within XPF2.58 per 10 ml.
How we tested melon in a pen device
- Choose strength against the ceiling in New Caledonia, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in New Caledonia, not a suggestion.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every melon bottle shipped into New Caledonia.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 6–12 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
Where melon goes wrong
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long melon in Nouméa survives.
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in New Caledonia accept nicotine freight.
- Ignoring the batch date on a pen device and discovering the listed price was for old stock.

Wholesale lines to New Caledonia need import documents the retail shop does not; ask for them in writing before a bulk order.
