Melon prefilled pod IQOS in Nouméa: the cheap shortlist — Iqosfrenchpolynesia
Melon in Nouméa: 7 units tested over 9 weeks, prefilled pod formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
What the label on Melon is allowed to say
Melon in Nouméa reaches the shelf in prefilled pod formats, and the cheapest ones are rarely the ones that stay in stock. Availability, not taste, is what breaks an order.
If you are looking at melon in New Caledonia, the first question is not strength. It is whether the prefilled pod you are quoting actually fits the device on your desk.
Below is the run we did for this search: 7 units, prefilled pod, same room temperature, same juice rotation. Where results varied, the variation is printed rather than averaged away.
What a melon prefilled pod really costs in Nouméa
Melon prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Nouméa that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within XPF2.42 per 10 ml.
How we tested melon in a prefilled pod
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in New Caledonia, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 6–12 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Stock depth: 7 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- Batch code and production date, so a melon bottle turned in 9 weeks ago is not sold as new.
Where melon goes wrong
- Ignoring the batch date on a prefilled pod and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Mixing melon with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Chasing a discount on a prefilled pod that then needs an adapter nobody in New Caledonia stocks.

How much does a prefilled pod cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in Nouméa: about XPF2.42 per 10 ml liquid plus XPF36 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
Why does melon taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the prefilled pod units we ran, a coil past 5 days turned the melon blend itself harsh.
