Melon refill pack IQOS in Nouméa: the cheap shortlist — Iqosfrenchpolynesia
Melon in Nouméa: 12 units tested over 9 weeks, refill pack formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
What the label on Melon is allowed to say
Melon in a refill pack is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In Nouméa the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
Melon prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Nouméa that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within XPF2.51 per 10 ml.
Below is the run we did for this search: 12 units, refill pack, same room temperature, same juice rotation. Where results varied, the variation is printed rather than averaged away.
What a melon refill pack really costs in Nouméa
Melon sounds like one product. It is not: a refill pack running varies will taste nothing like the same blend on a different device, which is why we test before we recommend.
How we tested melon in a refill pack
- Choose strength against the ceiling in New Caledonia, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- Coil type inside the refill pack, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a refill pack arrives sealed but wrong.
- Stock depth: 12 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
Where melon goes wrong
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long melon in Nouméa survives.
- Ignoring the batch date on a refill pack and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Chasing a discount on a refill pack that then needs an adapter nobody in New Caledonia stocks.
The rules that apply here
