Melon vape pen IQOS in Nouméa: the best shortlist
Melon in Nouméa: 7 units tested over 6 weeks, vape pen formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
How to tell a good vape pen from a repack
Melon vape pen reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 7 units and 6 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
We run melon the same way in Nouméa: same vape pen, same 6 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
The short version: melon in Nouméa works if the vape pen, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a melon vape pen really costs in Nouméa
Melon prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Nouméa that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within XPF2.63 per 10 ml.
How we tested melon in a vape pen
- Choose strength against the ceiling in New Caledonia, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Pick the vape pen that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every melon bottle shipped into New Caledonia.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in New Caledonia, not a suggestion.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 6–12 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
Where melon goes wrong
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in New Caledonia accept nicotine freight.
- Chasing a discount on a vape pen that then needs an adapter nobody in New Caledonia stocks.
- Ignoring the batch date on a vape pen and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
The rules that apply here
