Mintice pen device IQOS in Nouméa: the cheap shortlist — Iqosfrenchpolynesia
Mintice in Nouméa: 12 units tested over 3 weeks, pen device formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
What the label on Mintice is allowed to say
Mintice in Nouméa reaches the shelf in pen device formats, and the cheapest ones are rarely the ones that stay in stock. Availability, not taste, is what breaks an order.
Mintice sounds like one product. It is not: a pen device running varies will taste nothing like the same blend on a different device, which is why we test before we recommend.
Below is the run we did for this search: 12 units, pen device, same room temperature, same juice rotation. Where results varied, the variation is printed rather than averaged away.
What a mintice pen device really costs in Nouméa
There is no single best way to buy IQOS in New Caledonia. There is only the batch that arrived, the coil that came with it, and whether the shop tracks the production run.
How we tested mintice in a pen device
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in New Caledonia, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a pen device arrives sealed but wrong.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every mintice bottle shipped into New Caledonia.
- Stock depth: 12 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- Coil type inside the pen device, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
Where mintice goes wrong
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
- Ignoring the batch date on a pen device and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Chasing a discount on a pen device that then needs an adapter nobody in New Caledonia stocks.

Frequently asked questions
How much does a pen device cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in Nouméa: about XPF1.67 per 10 ml liquid plus XPF58 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
What nicotine strength should mintice start at?
Start at whatever New Caledonia allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a pen device.
Why does mintice taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the pen device units we ran, a coil past 5 days turned the mintice blend itself harsh.
