How to tell a good mesh tank from a repack
Pear in Nouméa reaches the shelf in mesh tank formats, and the compared ones are rarely the ones that stay in stock. Availability, not taste, is what breaks an order.
Pear mesh tank reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 18 units and 2 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
Below is the run we did for this search: 18 units, mesh tank, same room temperature, same juice rotation. Where results varied, the variation is printed rather than averaged away.

How we tested pear in a mesh tank
- Choose strength against the ceiling in New Caledonia, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Pick the mesh tank that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Stock depth: 18 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 6–12 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Spare parts availability for mesh tank in New Caledonia, since tanks and pods go first.
- Batch code and production date, so a pear bottle turned in 2 weeks ago is not sold as new.
Where pear goes wrong
- Buying the cheapest mesh tank available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why pear tastes flat after two days.
