Pear starter kit IQOS in Nouméa: the review shortlist — Iqosfrenchpolynesia
Pear in Nouméa: 11 units tested over 5 weeks, starter kit formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
Choosing a starter kit for pear
Pear sounds like one product. It is not: a starter kit running varies will taste nothing like the same blend on a different device, which is why we test before we recommend.
Pear starter kit reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 11 units and 5 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
Below is the run we did for this search: 11 units, starter kit, same room temperature, same juice rotation. Where results varied, the variation is printed rather than averaged away.
What a pear starter kit really costs in Nouméa
The honest read on pear: 11 units through the same routine over 5 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
How we tested pear in a starter kit
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in New Caledonia, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Coil type inside the starter kit, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every pear bottle shipped into New Caledonia.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in New Caledonia, not a suggestion.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 6–12 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
Where pear goes wrong
- Treating the advertised XPF53 entry kit as the real cost when refills run XPF1.65 per 10 ml.
- Buying the cheapest starter kit available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
- Mixing pear with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
The rules that apply here
Retail sales in New Caledonia sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.
Packaging for pear in New Caledonia must be child-resistant, and the batch code has to be readable without cutting the shrink wrap.
