Plain 60 ml bottle IQOS in Nouméa: the deals shortlist — Iqosfrenchpolynesia
Plain in Nouméa: 15 units tested over 5 weeks, 60 ml bottle formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
Coil life, liquid cost and the plain habit
If you are looking at plain in New Caledonia, the first question is not strength. It is whether the 60 ml bottle you are quoting actually fits the device on your desk.
A plain 60 ml bottle from the discounted options in New Caledonia costs about XPF3.05 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
The short version: plain in Nouméa works if the 60 ml bottle, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a plain 60 ml bottle really costs in Nouméa
Plain sounds like one product. It is not: a 60 ml bottle running varies will taste nothing like the same blend on a different device, which is why we test before we recommend.
How we tested plain in a 60 ml bottle
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Pick the 60 ml bottle that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in New Caledonia, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Stock depth: 15 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- Coil type inside the 60 ml bottle, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 6–12 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
Where plain goes wrong
- Buying the cheapest 60 ml bottle available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why plain tastes flat after two days.
- Mixing plain with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.

Frequently asked questions
How long does plain in a 60 ml bottle last?
In Nouméa we measured 5 to 15 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
Why does plain taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the 60 ml bottle units we ran, a coil past 6 days turned the plain blend itself harsh.
Is plain legal to sell in New Caledonia?
New Caledonia applies French-language labelling at customs clearance.
