Plain box mod IQOS in Nouméa: the guide shortlist
Plain in Nouméa: 22 units tested over 3 weeks, box mod formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
Choosing a box mod for plain
Plain in a box mod is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In Nouméa the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
Plain in Nouméa reaches the shelf in box mod formats, and the starter ones are rarely the ones that stay in stock. Availability, not taste, is what breaks an order.
The short version: plain in Nouméa works if the box mod, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a plain box mod really costs in Nouméa
Plain sounds like one product. It is not: a box mod running varies will taste nothing like the same blend on a different device, which is why we test before we recommend.
How we tested plain in a box mod
- Choose strength against the ceiling in New Caledonia, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Pick the box mod that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 6–12 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Coil type inside the box mod, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Stock depth: 22 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- Batch code and production date, so a plain bottle turned in 3 weeks ago is not sold as new.
Where plain goes wrong
- Treating the advertised XPF32 entry kit as the real cost when refills run XPF2.44 per 10 ml.
- Chasing a discount on a box mod that then needs an adapter nobody in New Caledonia stocks.
- Mixing plain with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
