How we tested plain in a mesh tank
- Choose strength against the ceiling in New Caledonia, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- Pick the mesh tank that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Spare parts availability for mesh tank in New Caledonia, since tanks and pods go first.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 6–12 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in New Caledonia, not a suggestion.
Where plain goes wrong
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why plain tastes flat after two days.
- Buying the cheapest mesh tank available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
- Treating the advertised XPF58 entry kit as the real cost when refills run XPF2.53 per 10 ml.

Frequently asked questions
How much does a mesh tank cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in Nouméa: about XPF2.53 per 10 ml liquid plus XPF58 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
Is buying in bulk actually cheaper?
Not automatically. On plain the budget price and the premium price can sit within XPF2.53 per 10 ml once 6–12 business days is counted.
How long does plain in a mesh tank last?
In Nouméa we measured 6 to 10 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
