Plain pod kit IQOS in Nouméa: the cheap shortlist
Plain in Nouméa: 24 units tested over 9 weeks, pod kit formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
Delivery, returns and what 6–12 business days really means
Plain prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Nouméa that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within XPF2.5 per 10 ml.
We run plain the same way in Nouméa: same pod kit, same 9 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
Below is the run we did for this search: 24 units, pod kit, same room temperature, same juice rotation. Where results varied, the variation is printed rather than averaged away.
What a plain pod kit really costs in Nouméa
Plain sounds like one product. It is not: a pod kit running varies will taste nothing like the same blend on a different device, which is why we test before we recommend.
How we tested plain in a pod kit
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in New Caledonia, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in New Caledonia, not a suggestion.
- Coil type inside the pod kit, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 6–12 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a pod kit arrives sealed but wrong.
Where plain goes wrong
- Ignoring the batch date on a pod kit and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Treating the advertised XPF68 entry kit as the real cost when refills run XPF2.5 per 10 ml.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why plain tastes flat after two days.
