Plain RDA IQOS in Nouméa: the guide shortlist
Plain in Nouméa: 9 units tested over 3 weeks, RDA formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
How we tested Plain RDA here
We run plain the same way in Nouméa: same RDA, same 3 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
Plain prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Nouméa that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within XPF3.32 per 10 ml.
Below is the run we did for this search: 9 units, RDA, same room temperature, same juice rotation. Where results varied, the variation is printed rather than averaged away.
What a plain RDA really costs in Nouméa
If you are looking at plain in New Caledonia, the first question is not strength. It is whether the RDA you are quoting actually fits the device on your desk.
How we tested plain in a RDA
- Pick the RDA that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- Batch code and production date, so a plain bottle turned in 3 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in New Caledonia, not a suggestion.
- Coil type inside the RDA, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every plain bottle shipped into New Caledonia.
Where plain goes wrong
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long plain in Nouméa survives.
- Chasing a discount on a RDA that then needs an adapter nobody in New Caledonia stocks.
- Ignoring the batch date on a RDA and discovering the listed price was for old stock.

Frequently asked questions
How much does a RDA cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in Nouméa: about XPF3.32 per 10 ml liquid plus XPF34 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
Do you ship tracked orders to New Caledonia?
Yes, tracked to 6–12 business days, with the same-day cut-off at 14:00. Bulk orders get an import note attached before dispatch.
Why does plain taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the RDA units we ran, a coil past 5 days turned the plain blend itself harsh.
