Plain squonk mod IQOS in Nouméa: the wholesale shortlist — Iqosfrenchpolynesia
Plain in Nouméa: 8 units tested over 8 weeks, squonk mod formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
Choosing a squonk mod for plain
A plain squonk mod from the bulk options in New Caledonia costs about XPF3.31 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
There is no single best way to buy IQOS in New Caledonia. There is only the batch that arrived, the coil that came with it, and whether the shop tracks the production run.
The short version: plain in Nouméa works if the squonk mod, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a plain squonk mod really costs in Nouméa
Ordering into Nouméa usually means waiting 6–12 business days. Plan the reorder around that, not around the flavour you like best.
How we tested plain in a squonk mod
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Pick the squonk mod that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a squonk mod arrives sealed but wrong.
- Stock depth: 8 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every plain bottle shipped into New Caledonia.
Where plain goes wrong
- Buying the cheapest squonk mod available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long plain in Nouméa survives.
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in New Caledonia accept nicotine freight.
The rules that apply here
New Caledonia applies French-language labelling at customs clearance.
Retail sales in New Caledonia sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.

Frequently asked questions
What nicotine strength should plain start at?
Start at whatever New Caledonia allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a squonk mod.
How much does a squonk mod cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in Nouméa: about XPF3.31 per 10 ml liquid plus XPF34 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
Why does plain taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the squonk mod units we ran, a coil past 7 days turned the plain blend itself harsh.
