Plum 30 ml shortfill IQOS in Nouméa: the best shortlist — Iqosfrenchpolynesia
Plum in Nouméa: 23 units tested over 8 weeks, 30 ml shortfill formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
Where buyers go wrong with plum in New Caledonia
Plum in a 30 ml shortfill is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In Nouméa the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
Plum sounds like one product. It is not: a 30 ml shortfill running varies will taste nothing like the same blend on a different device, which is why we test before we recommend.
Below is the run we did for this search: 23 units, 30 ml shortfill, same room temperature, same juice rotation. Where results varied, the variation is printed rather than averaged away.
What a plum 30 ml shortfill really costs in Nouméa
We run plum the same way in Nouméa: same 30 ml shortfill, same 8 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
How we tested plum in a 30 ml shortfill
- Choose strength against the ceiling in New Caledonia, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a 30 ml shortfill arrives sealed but wrong.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in New Caledonia, not a suggestion.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every plum bottle shipped into New Caledonia.
- Spare parts availability for 30 ml shortfill in New Caledonia, since tanks and pods go first.
Where plum goes wrong
- Buying the cheapest 30 ml shortfill available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
- Ignoring the batch date on a 30 ml shortfill and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in New Caledonia accept nicotine freight.
The rules that apply here
New Caledonia applies French-language labelling at customs clearance.
Retail sales in New Caledonia sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.

Frequently asked questions
Why does plum taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the 30 ml shortfill units we ran, a coil past 6 days turned the plum blend itself harsh.
Is buying in bulk actually cheaper?
Not automatically. On plum the budget price and the premium price can sit within XPF2.96 per 10 ml once 6–12 business days is counted.
How long does plum in a 30 ml shortfill last?
In Nouméa we measured 8 to 23 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
