Plum pod kit IQOS in Nouméa: the budget shortlist
Plum in Nouméa: 21 units tested over 4 weeks, pod kit formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
Choosing a pod kit for plum
If you are looking at plum in New Caledonia, the first question is not strength. It is whether the pod kit you are quoting actually fits the device on your desk.
We run plum the same way in Nouméa: same pod kit, same 4 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
The short version: plum in Nouméa works if the pod kit, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a plum pod kit really costs in Nouméa
The honest read on plum: 21 units through the same routine over 4 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
How we tested plum in a pod kit
- Choose strength against the ceiling in New Caledonia, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Stock depth: 21 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every plum bottle shipped into New Caledonia.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in New Caledonia, not a suggestion.
Where plum goes wrong
- Mixing plum with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why plum tastes flat after two days.
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in New Caledonia accept nicotine freight.
The rules that apply here
Retail sales in New Caledonia sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.
New Caledonia applies French-language labelling at customs clearance.
