Plum prefilled pod IQOS in Nouméa: the review shortlist — Iqosfrenchpolynesia
Plum in Nouméa: 12 units tested over 5 weeks, prefilled pod formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
Stock, batch codes and the dispatch window
Plum prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Nouméa that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within XPF2.95 per 10 ml.
Plum prefilled pod reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 12 units and 5 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
If you only read one line: the prefilled pod you buy decides how long plum tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a plum prefilled pod really costs in Nouméa
Plum in a prefilled pod is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In Nouméa the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
How we tested plum in a prefilled pod
- Choose strength against the ceiling in New Caledonia, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Coil type inside the prefilled pod, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every plum bottle shipped into New Caledonia.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Spare parts availability for prefilled pod in New Caledonia, since tanks and pods go first.
Where plum goes wrong
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in New Caledonia accept nicotine freight.
- Treating the advertised XPF37 entry kit as the real cost when refills run XPF2.95 per 10 ml.
- Ignoring the batch date on a prefilled pod and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
The rules that apply here
New Caledonia applies French-language labelling at customs clearance. Shipping of nicotine to New Caledonia runs through tracked freight only, which is why the quoted window is stated per order.
Retail sales in New Caledonia sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.
