Plum squonk mod IQOS in Nouméa: the review shortlist
Plum in Nouméa: 21 units tested over 7 weeks, squonk mod formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
How to tell a good squonk mod from a repack
Plum prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Nouméa that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within XPF1.84 per 10 ml.
Plum in a squonk mod is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In Nouméa the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
If you only read one line: the squonk mod you buy decides how long plum tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a plum squonk mod really costs in Nouméa
If you are looking at plum in New Caledonia, the first question is not strength. It is whether the squonk mod you are quoting actually fits the device on your desk.
How we tested plum in a squonk mod
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in New Caledonia, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 6–12 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Coil type inside the squonk mod, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Batch code and production date, so a plum bottle turned in 7 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Spare parts availability for squonk mod in New Caledonia, since tanks and pods go first.
Where plum goes wrong
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long plum in Nouméa survives.
- Treating the advertised XPF34 entry kit as the real cost when refills run XPF1.84 per 10 ml.
- Ignoring the batch date on a squonk mod and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
