Ordering IQOS to Nouméa: the practical version
We run salted the same way in Nouméa: same box mod, same 4 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
Salted prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Nouméa that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within XPF2.08 per 10 ml.
Below is the run we did for this search: 20 units, box mod, same room temperature, same juice rotation. Where results varied, the variation is printed rather than averaged away.
What a salted box mod really costs in Nouméa
We run salted the same way in Nouméa: same box mod, same 4 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
How we tested salted in a box mod
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- Pick the box mod that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in New Caledonia, not a suggestion.
- Stock depth: 20 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a box mod arrives sealed but wrong.
Where salted goes wrong
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long salted in Nouméa survives.
- Treating the advertised XPF57 entry kit as the real cost when refills run XPF2.08 per 10 ml.
- Mixing salted with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
