Ordering IQOS to Nouméa: the practical version
If you are looking at salted in New Caledonia, the first question is not strength. It is whether the pen device you are quoting actually fits the device on your desk.
Salted prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Nouméa that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within XPF1.8 per 10 ml.
If you only read one line: the pen device you buy decides how long salted tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a salted pen device really costs in Nouméa
A salted pen device from the reviewed options in New Caledonia costs about XPF1.8 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
How we tested salted in a pen device
- Pick the pen device that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in New Caledonia, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in New Caledonia, not a suggestion.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every salted bottle shipped into New Caledonia.
- Coil type inside the pen device, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Batch code and production date, so a salted bottle turned in 7 weeks ago is not sold as new.
Where salted goes wrong
- Treating the advertised XPF61 entry kit as the real cost when refills run XPF1.8 per 10 ml.
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
- Chasing a discount on a pen device that then needs an adapter nobody in New Caledonia stocks.
