Salted pod kit IQOS in Nouméa: the online shortlist
Salted in Nouméa: 8 units tested over 4 weeks, pod kit formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
How to tell a good pod kit from a repack
The honest read on salted: 8 units through the same routine over 4 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
We run salted the same way in Nouméa: same pod kit, same 4 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
Below is the run we did for this search: 8 units, pod kit, same room temperature, same juice rotation. Where results varied, the variation is printed rather than averaged away.
What a salted pod kit really costs in Nouméa
Salted prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Nouméa that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within XPF2.54 per 10 ml.
How we tested salted in a pod kit
- Choose strength against the ceiling in New Caledonia, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 6–12 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Batch code and production date, so a salted bottle turned in 4 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Stock depth: 8 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
Where salted goes wrong
- Treating the advertised XPF65 entry kit as the real cost when refills run XPF2.54 per 10 ml.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why salted tastes flat after two days.
- Chasing a discount on a pod kit that then needs an adapter nobody in New Caledonia stocks.

Frequently asked questions
Why does salted taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the pod kit units we ran, a coil past 6 days turned the salted blend itself harsh.
Can I order IQOS online in New Caledonia?
Yes, tracked dispatch before 14:00, and delivery lands in 6–12 business days. Stock is batch-traced, so the bottle you receive carries a dated code.
Is buying in bulk actually cheaper?
Not automatically. On salted the budget price and the premium price can sit within XPF2.54 per 10 ml once 6–12 business days is counted.
